Archelon is a sea turtle rescue organization founded in 1983, which works to protect sea creatures and their natural environment. On the beach in Kyparissia, for example, countless Caretta caretta turtles nest every year and their eggs need to be protected. In addition, Archelon attaches importance to educational work with fishermen, as well as hotels and beach restaurants, in order to sensitize them to the turtles.
